Wiring Plug Protector

I didn't like my wiring touching the ground or hanging over the tongue of the trailer especially when it rained or sat in dirt. I got a piece of 4" PVC pipe and cut it about 6" long. I then got 2 closed end caps.

I cut a keyhole shaped hole in one of the caps. The keyhole that I cut in one of the caps allows for the plug with the ears to fit in the big hole, then slide it over so the ears catch on the inside of the cap into the little hole.

I then used 2 big hose clamps to mount it to the pipe that houses the foot of the tongue. The wires are routed from the bottom and hang nicely avoiding the weather while the trailer is in storage. The plug is clean for the next trip out and no worries about dirt or water getting in the plug.

Total cost approximately $15.00
